Streamlining operations, reducing maintenance needs, and ensuring a future-ready learning environment.
As AV consultants, IPP worked with La Trobe to standardize learning spaces to ensure a seamless experience for students, lecturers, and support teams, regardless of the integrator. We collaborated with La Trobe and industry leaders to implement tailored solutions across lecture theatres, teaching spaces, video walls, meeting rooms, and executive suites. By optimizing costs, streamlining project coordination, and assisting with budget planning, business cases, and technology testing, we ensured effective deployments.
La Trobe sought standardized AV documentation to reflect ‘as-built’ specifications. IPP became their trusted partner in developing AV Standards across all campuses, providing clear expectations for builders and contractors.
This eliminated uncertainty in product selection and installation while streamlining support operations.
Outcome
Post-COVID, has made hybrid learning essential, requiring environments that foster engagement for both in-person and remote participants. As design prioritizes flexibility and adaptability, solutions must evolve effortlessly to meet changing needs. In response, LTU’s overall design embraced a modular framework, allowing a scalable core to accommodate spaces of varying sizes while maintaining a standardized yet adaptable solution. The integration of advanced technologies ensures sophistication while remaining user-friendly.
Innovation
We oversaw the integration of cutting-edge AV solutions, including AI-driven camera capabilities offering next-gen tracking and framing presenters, making hybrid meetings and lecture recordings seamless. A change in AV equipment vendor has enabled other new innovations to be deployed, with the majority of the AV signals for both content and control carried via the AV network rather than individual cables for each signal type. The lasted Beamforming microphones provide more than just high-quality audio coverage, they are used to direct cameras to frame on the active talker – both in meeting rooms and teaching spaces, improving interaction in modern learning spaces. These innovations streamlined operations, reduced maintenance needs, and ensured a future-ready learning environment.
